Rancid_2.jpg

Rancid Rabbit is the series' traditional authority figure, as well as a semi-antagonist and occasionally an anti-hero. He works as a police officer, lifeguard, jail guard, firefighter, company owner, principal, president, mayor, Egyptian pharaoh, doctor, TV host, contest judge, store manager, and Taco Depot manager. He appears as a school principal in one episode and as a police officer at the finale. In "Teeth for Two," he also played a dentist. In "Escape from the Deep End," he also played a lifeguard. In "Sumo Enchanted Evening," he also owned a restaurant called Rancid Rib Room.  Rancid's duties vary based on the episode's premise. He sometimes takes advantage of CatDog as much as he can by duping them into purchasing his items or forcing them to do his bidding in a job. Rancid occasionally attempts to join forces with the Greasers to destroy CatDog's inventions. He will go to any length to grab their money or profit himself in any manner, even if it means abusing his position to the utmost extent possible. However, he is seen to assist CatDog when he works as a doctor if something goes wrong between the two, therefore he might be viewed as more of an anti-hero than a villain at times. He's often saying, "Leaping lumbago." and "What, what, what?" Rancid owns the Mall of Malls, a satire of the Mall of America, and has a spoilt niece named Rancine. Rancid also has a cousin in Farburg named Rotten.
